John Boyega's Son Had Already Been Home

On October 4 he told The Guardian he had been married almost two years and that a baby boy was on the way. Ten days later he wrote that the boy had already been home for some time.

On October 4, John Boyega told The Guardian the baby was on the way.

"My baby's on the way. We got a baby cooking," he said, and he confirmed a boy. Ten days later he wrote that the boy had already been home for some time.

The marriage is coming up on two years. The ceremony was small, and the celebration he wants is still ahead.

By October 14 he was feeding the baby, and thanking people who still thought the birth was ahead.

Back to feeding

The Guardian piece was an interview about a BBC documentary. At the end, the reporter asked about the ring on his left hand, and he started talking about home.

He has a young stepson too. "My life is completely, completely fulfilled in terms of family. It's been so nice with the timing."

On October 14 he answered the congratulations. "Our bundle of joy has been with us for some time now but thank you for all the well wishes."

His sister is about to give birth as well. "Back to feeding this big baby!" The post leaves out the baby's name and the birth date.

ABC News said the photos are with his wife, the actress Tae Heckard, now Tae Boyega, and a clip of him holding the baby.

The ring from Canoga Park

The band was two-toned. He called it their sentimental ring, the one they grabbed because he wanted it on his finger that day.

He lives in Los Angeles. The store was a Walmart in Canoga Park.

"It was a lovely trip to Walmart. Shout out, Walmart Canoga Park!"

The BBC documentary shows a different band.

Braveheart now, Nigeria later

He joked that the ceremony was the Braveheart version. He mimed planting a sword in the ground, then bellowed, "Will you come with me?"

His parents, Samson and Abigail, were on the sofa. An older sister had come in, and everybody laughed.

They have not had a traditional Nigerian celebration. He would love one, once the marriage has already been going. "And by then, we'll have to shut Nigeria down!"

Before you send the gift

Asked what kind of father he wants to be, he said it is still sinking in. "Us being parents is funny! I just want to make sure I'm present, I'm consistent and full of love."

After a heavy run of work, he said, some stretches belong at home. "There's stuff to do."

Ask how long "some time" has been before you buy the gift. A onesie sized for a brand-new baby may already be the wrong one.
