Grand Illuminations Opening at Cal Plaza

Grand Performances and the DTLA Alliance open Grand Illuminations on Thursday, December 3, 2026, at The Yard at California Plaza, 350 S. Grand Avenue. The official page lists a Goddess Mercado holiday market from noon to 8 p.m., tree lighting at 5 p.m., a live band at 6 p.m., and DJs from 7 to 9 p.m.

The Electric Dandelions and a custom LED holiday tree are the plaza light anchors for opening night. No ticket is listed for the outdoor plaza program; market purchases are separate.

Take Metro to Pershing Square or Civic Center/Grand and walk. Use the market for a daytime stop, then stay for the 5 p.m. lighting.
