Orange County Great Park

Use the free Orange County Great Park lawns, trails, and Visitors Center in Irvine for an easy South OC outdoor day. General park areas are open 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily, with amenity-specific schedules on top.

Carousel rides are free when operating. Balloon rides are separately ticketed at about $10 for adults, with kids free with an adult on posted days.

Start with lawns and the Visitors Center if you want a low-cost outing with grandparents. Confirm balloon and carousel operating days before you build the whole visit around either ride.
