Travel Town Museum

Climb aboard historic trains at Travel Town, a free outdoor transportation museum in Griffith Park near Zoo Drive. Parking is free, and optional miniature train rides are ticketed separately.

The museum is free every day to all visitors, with Tuesday through Friday and weekend hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and temporary Monday closures noted on the hours page.

Use this for a short toddler or preschool outing when a full zoo ticket feels like too much. Pack sun coverage and treat the miniature train as a maybe, not the whole plan.
