Snug Harbor Public Gardens

Wander the free public gardens across Snug Harbor's 83-acre campus from dawn to dusk, with no ordinary admission ticket or advance registration needed. Multiple themed landscapes make a flexible walk that can stand alone or pair with on-campus museums and galleries.

Most areas can be reached with mobility devices, but some paths are uneven and the North Gate lacks a ramp, so wheelchair users should enter through the East or West Gate. Accessible parking, lifts, ramps, and restrooms are documented on the official access page.

Use the gardens for a spontaneous outdoor date, and add the Staten Island Museum only if you want a ticketed indoor second act.
