DOROT Friendly Visiting

DOROT matches adults age 60 and older with volunteers for weekly or monthly visits in the older adult's home, supported by a social worker. Matches are intended to continue for at least one year.

Manhattan eligibility is geographically limited to the West Side from 59th to 125th Streets and the East Side from 14th to 96th Streets. Outside those boundaries, look to other friendly-visiting or Aging Connect routes.

Apply if the address falls inside the published map, and expect a social-worker interview before a volunteer match.
