San Mateo Central Park Japanese Garden

San Mateo's city-run Japanese Garden is a short daytime walk past a granite pagoda, tea house, koi pond, and bamboo grove. Admission is free, with published daily hours (about 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekends).
