Civic Center Plaza Tree Lighting

The Civic Center Community Benefit District hosts the Civic Center Plaza Tree Lighting on Wednesday, December 2, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. across from City Hall. The page lists free admission, performances including the Tap Dancing Christmas Trees, Santa, snow flurries, SF Etsy makers activities, and a San Francisco Public Library book giveaway.

The 50-foot noble fir lights at 5:30 p.m. Food and a full bar are available for purchase. The event is rain or shine.

Arrive near 4 if kids want the makers village before the lighting. Civic Center BART/Muni lands next to the plaza.
