Santa Lights the Square at Ghirardelli

Ghirardelli Square hosts Santa Lights the Square on Friday, November 27, 2026, at 4:45 p.m. The square lists a 46-foot Christmas tree lighting with Santa, an elf, and a San Francisco Boys Chorus performance, followed by a sing-along, Santa visits, letters to Santa, and candy giveaways.

No admission fee is posted. Santa and elf return Fridays December 4, 11, and 18 from 4 to 7 p.m.

Arrive a little before 4:45 for a plaza view. Chocolate shops around the square make an easy stop after the lighting.
