Solano County issues marriage licenses from its Fairfield office after applicants complete the online application, and the County Clerk performs civil ceremonies by appointment on Thursdays. Public ceremonies require at least one witness; confidential ceremonies do not.

Thursday-only ceremonies mean you should not assume a Friday or Saturday civil slot here. Use the Fairfield office for the license even if the reception is elsewhere in Solano or beyond.
