Mika's Inclusive Playground

Mika's Inclusive Playground in downtown Edmonds is a free Civic Park playground designed so kids of varied abilities can play together. The ground-level carousel fits two wheelchairs, surfacing works with adaptive devices, and one hand excavator is wheelchair-accessible.

Play choices include a sensory garden with musical chimes, a tactile rumble walk, multiple swing types (including companion and basket swings), climbing, and slides. Opened June 2023 as a legacy project for Mika Zimbalist.

Bring layers for Edmonds weather and plan a snack nearby if the group wants to linger. This is the outing when "can we all actually use the equipment" is the real question.
