Owen Beach

Owen Beach at Point Defiance is a Puget Sound shoreline outing redesigned with accessible paths, beach approach, parking, year-round restrooms, pavilion, picnic shelter, and an ADA-accessible nature-themed play area. Scale the day from a paved plaza sit to sand toes without forcing a long hike.

Canoe-shaped benches and improved walkways support elders and mixed-mobility groups. Hard-surface trails help strollers and chairs until you choose the beach edge.

Water access is unsupervised unless a specific program says otherwise. Pack layers, snacks, and realistic expectations about cold Sound water even on sunny days.
