Seattle Municipal Court Marriage Ceremonies

Seattle Municipal Court judges can perform weekday civil ceremonies at the courthouse, Monday through Friday, with a 4:30 p.m. check-in. Submit a Marriage Ceremony Request no earlier than eight weeks ahead and wait for email confirmation.

The court does not issue marriage licenses. Handle that separately with King County Recorder's Office before ceremony day. Photos are allowed 30 minutes before check-in and during the ceremony, but not afterward on a leisurely schedule.

This is the simple civil path when you want a judge, a clear time, and no venue production. Keep guest expectations modest and celebrate elsewhere after.
