Wedding venues and practical help across Los Angeles and Orange County

Compare multicultural wedding venues, planners, caterers, ceremony support, multilingual services, marriage licenses, and guest travel across LA and OC.

Southern California weddings often combine several ceremonies, meals, languages, and guest groups in one weekend. Start with requirements that can rule out a venue, including outside catering, ceremonial setup, guest capacity, accessibility, and vendor load-in times.

Keep drive times and hotel clusters in the plan from the beginning. A beautiful garden is less useful if elders face stairs, guests need a long freeway transfer, or a second ceremony is too far away to fit the schedule.

San Marino

The Huntington Weddings

1151 Oxford Road, San Marino, CA 91108

The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens offers tiered wedding packages for cocktail reception and dinner up to 50, 120, or 250 guests, plus a custom Rose Tier. Ceremony-only weddings are not available, regardless of size or duration.

Food, entertainment, rentals, and a required planner are separate from venue pricing, so the published tier is a space and guest-count starting point rather than an all-in quote. Named large spaces include the Chinese Garden Celebration Court and mansion South Terrace, with the Shakespeare Room listed for smaller reception seating.

Tour only if your guest count and budget already fit a full reception package. Couples who only need a short outdoor vow exchange should look elsewhere.

Palos Verdes Peninsula

South Coast Botanic Garden Weddings

26300 Crenshaw Boulevard, Palos Verdes Peninsula, CA 90274

South Coast Botanic Garden offers mixed ceremony and reception sites across 87 acres for celebrations from about 20 to 400 guests. Site options range from the Rose Garden and Garden Amphitheater (about 150) to meadows that can scale much larger depending on setup.

Unlike many garden venues, the Garden lets couples select from a preferred caterer list or bring their own vendor, with pricing beginning at $3,000 for the venue side. That outside-catering path matters if you need a specific cultural menu.

Start with guest count and catering rules before you fall for a meadow photo. Confirm which site matches your headcount and whether your preferred caterer is already on the list.

Long Beach and Harbor

Aquarium of the Pacific hosts wedding ceremonies and receptions after public hours on the Long Beach waterfront, generally from 7:00 p.m. to midnight, with catering by Savor. Couples inquire through the official special-events booking form for ceremony-and-reception or reception-only dates.

Private use is generally available seven days a week in that evening window, and setup does not begin before 6:00 p.m. The venue is distinctive because guests move among exhibits rather than a blank ballroom.

Plan for an evening timeline and harbor logistics. Confirm current Savor packages and exhibit access rules before you promise grandparents an afternoon ceremony.

A few things worth checking

Ask about the policy, not only the possibility

A venue saying it has hosted cultural weddings does not tell you whether your caterer can use the kitchen, whether ceremonial flame is allowed, or how early vendors may enter. Ask for current policies in writing, including insurance, cleanup, alcohol, sound, open flame, outside catering, and multi-day access.

Capacity also changes with the room setup. A standing reception number may not leave space for seated dinner, a stage, a dance floor, or a ceremony aisle. Share your actual event sequence when you request a floor plan.

Make the guest journey part of the decision

Consider parking, shuttle options, elevators, restrooms, seating, distance between ceremony and reception spaces, and the trip from LAX, SNA, or nearby hotels. These details matter when grandparents, young children, and guests arriving from overseas are all attending the same celebration.

Keep the legal marriage process separate from ceremony planning. County license rules and appointment availability follow their own timelines, even when a planner or officiant helps with the celebration.
