Sri Lankan Dance Academy of New York

Children and young adults can study Kandyan dance, drumming, and other Sri Lankan forms in weekly Sunday classes at Snug Harbor, with instruction open to students of all levels. Cultural partners document ages roughly 5 through 25 for the Staten Island school.

Families can also watch the academy at cultural events and recitals, where dancers explain ceremonial, folk, classical, and contemporary adaptations to wider New York audiences. Recurring Sunday practice is the enrollment core.
