Diwali Festival at the Bhakti Center

The Bhakti Center's ninth annual Diwali Festival of Lights lands on Diwali day itself, Sunday, November 8, 2026, from 4 to 9 p.m. at 25 First Avenue in the East Village. Organizers list free admission, with advance registration requested.

The published schedule stacks family and children's activities early, then temple programming: dance, Ramayana drama, talks, aarti, and a lamp offering before free dinner prasadam. Food stalls, henna, face painting, and a photo booth sit around the main program.

Take the F to Second Avenue if you are coming with kids or elders. Arrive when doors open if you want the kids block before the denser evening program starts.
