Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony

The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is Wednesday, December 2, 2026, from 7 to 10 p.m., according to the official Christmas Tree page. The 76-foot Norway spruce from West Edmeston is already described on the same site after its November 7 arrival.

Plaza viewing is free and crowded. Security lines and sightlines change every year, so small kids may only catch glimpses.

If the ceremony crush is too much, come another night after December 2 to see the lit tree from the Plaza or The Rink.
