Indoor and outdoor hands-on exhibits, art, science, dance, and story programs at Staten Island Children's Museum serve children age 1 and up at Snug Harbor. Ordinary hours run Wednesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
A dedicated sensory room, preparation guide, quieter weekday-afternoon guidance, mostly wheelchair-accessible exhibits, and free personal care assistants support planning. Great Explorations is closed and scheduled to return as Explore Staten Island in October 2026, so do not plan around that gallery yet.
Use the sensory room and weekday afternoons when quieter pacing matters, and pair with Snug Harbor grounds only if energy remains.
