The Exploratorium at Pier 15 packs more than 700 hands-on exhibits into a flexible indoor science outing for children, teens, adults, and older adults. Adult tickets are about $39.95; youth 4-17, seniors, students, teachers, and people with disabilities are about $29.95; ages 3 and under are free.
All public spaces are navigable by wheelchair or mobility device, loaner wheelchairs are available, and accompanying ADA aides enter free. Qualifying cardholders can buy up to four $5 tickets. The museum is BART, ferry, and bus friendly.
Buy timed tickets ahead on busy weekends, and pack layers for the Embarcadero even when the day is mostly indoors.
