Shadow Cliffs Regional Recreation Area

Shadow Cliffs in Pleasanton is a seasonal swim and picnic destination with accessible parking, paved trails, picnic tables, restrooms, a bathhouse, and a fishing pier reached by paved trail. Park entry or parking fees may apply.

Free beach wheelchairs are available first come, first served during staffed swim periods, but require an assistant and cannot enter the water. That limit is important to say out loud before anyone counts on water entry.

Check current swimming hours and water conditions before you leave home, and pack a picnic plan that still works if the swim beach is closed.
