San José Unified Two-Way Bilingual Immersion

San José Unified's Spanish-English Two-Way Bilingual Immersion program serves both native Spanish and native English speakers at multiple schools. Classrooms are usually about half native Spanish speakers and half native English speakers.

Families must live within district boundaries, attend an orientation before enrolling, and commit from kindergarten through fifth grade. That multi-year commitment is worth treating as a real household decision, not a one-year trial.

Check whether 2026-27 (or the current cycle) enrollment is still open, complete orientation, then enroll only if the K-5 commitment fits.
