San Francisco Nurse Home Visiting Program

San Francisco's Nurse Home Visiting Program provides free nurse visits at home or another agreed safe place for eligible city residents who are pregnant or have a newborn. Visits may address labor preparation, newborn care, breastfeeding, infant development, daily stress, community resources, and baby supplies.

Family members are welcome, and interpreter services are available. Nurses speak many languages, which matters when English-only home visiting would be a barrier.

Confirm eligibility on SF.gov before you count on a start date, then ask whether cribs, diapers, or other supplies are part of your care plan.

Cost: Free for eligible participants
