VanDusen Festival of Lights runs November 27, 2026 through January 3, 2027 at VanDusen Botanical Garden, 5251 Oak Street at West 37th Avenue. Hours are 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., with last entry at 9 p.m. The garden is closed December 25.
Tickets go on sale November 4 and have to be bought online for a half-hour entry window. Before tax and service fees, adults are $29, seniors and youth 13 to 18 are $19, children 5 to 12 are $12, children 4 and under are free but still need a reserved ticket, and garden members are $18. Tickets are non-refundable, and the night runs rain or shine with no re-entry.
Tuesday, December 1 is the sensory-friendly night: half the usual capacity, lower sound, and no flashing lights. The garden is on the 17 Oak bus, about a 15-minute walk from Oakridge station. The lot off West 37th is free, and it is small.
