Richmond School District French Immersion

Richmond School District French Immersion is designed for non-francophone students seeking functional bilingualism. Early Immersion begins in Kindergarten or Grade 1 with full French through Grade 2, then mostly French through Grade 7. Late Immersion begins in Grade 6.

Elementary sites are named on the district page, and placement follows catchment priorities. When spaces are scarce, the district may use a draw. The pathway continues through Grade 12 for students who stay in the program.

Register with SD38 first, then apply during the published Program Options window. Do not treat Immersion as a same-week add-on to ordinary catchment registration.
