Los Angeles County Adult Protective Services investigates reports of abuse, neglect, self-neglect, isolation, and exploitation involving older adults age 60 and older and dependent adults ages 18 to 59. The Elder Abuse Hotline operates 24/7; call 911 for immediate danger. Facility complaints may also go to the Long-Term Care Ombudsman.
