MTA Access-A-Ride
Access-A-Ride is the MTA's shared-ride ADA paratransit service for people whose disabilities prevent use of buses or subways. It operates throughout the five boroughs and nearby three-quarter-mile corridors, 24 hours daily.
Applicants complete an individualized assessment and may receive full, temporary, or conditional eligibility; age by itself does not qualify someone. This is disability-based paratransit, not a senior shuttle.
Apply for assessment if fixed-route transit is not usable, and plan around reservation lead times after approval.
