The Bronx Zoo is the city's largest zoo and supports a full animal day for children through teens, but its size makes advance route planning important. Seasonal hours and several admission products are published for 2026, and parking can reach capacity.
Sensory bags, quiet zones, headphone zones, mobility information, and personal care assistant arrangements are available. Free Wednesday Limited Admission requires a timed ticket released the preceding Monday at 5 p.m. and excludes paid Star Attractions, which cost extra.
Reserve Wednesday Limited Admission early in the week if free entry is the goal, and decide in advance whether any Star Attraction is worth the add-on.
