New York Botanical Garden

New York Botanical Garden's 250 acres combine family garden programs, plant collections, an old-growth forest, indoor conservatory exhibitions, food, and a tram, giving mixed-age groups several ways to pace the day. Ordinary hours are listed Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Bronx residents receive free Grounds Access, and Wednesday has broader free windows under published residency and hour rules. Buildings and tour vehicles are accessible except for some naturally uneven terrain; all restrooms are accessible, and manual wheelchairs, a social guide, route guides, and personal care attendant admission are free.

Use Grounds Access or Wednesday terms if you qualify, and add the conservatory or tram only when the group has energy for a longer half day.
