Queens Botanical Garden

43-50 Main Street, Flushing, NY 11355

Flat terrain, mostly paved paths, modest admission, and compact themed gardens at Queens Botanical Garden make this a practical slower-paced outing with children, adults, and older relatives in Flushing. Recurring Wednesday and Sunday free windows (and winter free admission terms) provide an easy budget option when special events are not suspending free hours.

Wheelchairs are free to borrow with ID, strollers are welcome, and caregivers enter free with an eligible visitor. A few peripheral paths are unpaved, so stick to the main paved loops when mobility is tight.

Aim for a free-hour window for a short garden loop, or a quiet paid weekday if you want more space.

Cost: Adults $6; seniors 62+, students, and visitors with disabilities $4; children 4-12 $2; under 4 free; free Wednesdays 3-6 p.m. and Sundays 9-11 a.m.; free December 16-March
