Vancouver Public Library Newcomer Resources

Vancouver Public Library still helps newcomers after closing its Skilled Immigrant InfoCentre on March 31, 2025. Current entry points are the Immigration and Settlement guide, Career and Job Search and Small Business guides, multilingual programs, and email help at info@vpl.ca.

Multilingual classes, workshops, and book clubs run in Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish, Vietnamese, and more across Central Library and neighbourhood branches. The settlement guide also points readers toward IRCC, WelcomeBC, and local agency directories when a funded service desk is the better next step.
