Vancouver Christmas Tree Lighting

Downtown's free Christmas tree ceremony is Friday, November 27, 2026, at 6 p.m. on the Vancouver Art Gallery plaza. The program ends with the lighting of a 76-foot tree; a livestream is available if you stay home.

Buy a Bulb donations from the same organizers fund BC Children's Hospital Foundation, the Vancouver International Children's Festival, and Honour House. Once lit, the tree stays on through the holiday season.

Hornby and Georgia fill early. Bring layers for standing outdoors, then peel off toward Robson or the Canada Line when the switch flips.
